PRIVACY POLICY

MSI is committed to honoring you, your privacy, and the security of your data. This Privacy Statement describes how we, and our affiliates, use any information from which any individual can be identified, such as names, contact details, and ID data (“personal information”). We will safeguard all personal information we receive either directly from you or that has been provided to us from any third party, and it will be held in confidence and in accordance with all applicable Data Protection Legislation (as defined below) We urge you to review the details included in the following sections, in order to better understand all the steps we have taken to meet this commitment to you.

For the purposes of the Data Protection Legislation, MSI Global Talent Solutions LLC is the entity that determines for which and the manner in which any personal information that you provide to us or we otherwise obtain about you is or is to be processed.

Personally identifiable information
When you submit a request or electronically pass any information to MSI including, but not limited to, service requests, comments, feedback, employment applications, and resumes. We may also collect personal information from you at trade shows/events, from telephone calls, surveys, and/or other correspondence with you you may be asked to provide specific information including, but not necessarily limited to, your name, title, company, address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail address, country where you are based or are purchasing our services from, login credentials, network access, and security data, biographical data, online or social media identifiers, and any other data that may be used directly or in combination with other reasonably accessible data to identify a living person. We ask for such personally identifiable information in order to facilitate your requests, provide personalized service and communicate separately with you. We may also collect personal information from you at trade shows/events, from telephone calls, surveys, and/or other correspondence with you. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information with any third parties outside of MSI.
Where you apply for a job with us, we may collect from you and third parties (where relevant) additional personal information such as your resume, any references, and any other information that you supply to us as part of your application. Unless you ask us to keep such information on file for future opportunities or we need to retain such information for compliance with our legal obligations, in the event that you are unsuccessful, we will only retain this personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary to process your application.

Where you are employed by us, we may collect personal information from you which is necessary for us to carry out our obligations in connection with your employment, such as information we need for payroll, tax, or pensions purposes. Personal information which we process when measuring your performance, in connection with disciplinary action or in connection with applying for a work permit or visa or to comply with immigration law, and general personal information such as your name, contact details, and emergency information.

Where you or your employer (or any other entity you work for) provide services to us, we may receive your personal information. We will only process such personal information in connection with the provision of the services and in accordance with this Privacy Statement. In addition, where necessary, we may also share your personal information with our customers or other third parties in order to provide our services.
By visiting and/or contacting us through the Website (or otherwise engaging with us), you acknowledge that we may collect, use and transfer your personal information as set out in this Statement. We reserve the right to change this Statement from time to time and you should therefore check this page frequently to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

Because we rely on some third-party commercial software and programs to operate our servers, we may inadvertently collect personal information due to certain automatic functions or features contained in such software or due to certain software changes or upgrades. We will use reasonable efforts to remove any such information after we discover such information in our system. “Sensitive” or “Special Categories” of personal information
“Sensitive personal information” is personal information concerning an individual’s (i) racial or ethnic origin, (ii) political opinions, (iii) religious beliefs or other beliefs of a similar nature, (iv) membership of a trade union, (v) physical or mental health or condition, (vi) sexual life or orientation, (vii) commission or alleged commission of any offence, and/or the disposition of such proceedings.

We may ask you to provide us with Sensitive personal information from time to time, for example in connection with an employment application. Providing us with this information is entirely voluntary and subject to your express consent, however, we may be unable to carry out some activities necessary to process your application, instructions or other requests without the provision of such information.

Where we do receive Sensitive personal information, we will only keep such information for as long as strictly necessary in order to comply with our legal obligations.

Internet protocol address
We may use your Internet Protocol address, but only to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the Web Site. Your Internet Protocol address is used to help identify you for the duration of a session, and only to gather broad demographic information, such as the geographic region of the network with which you connect to the Web Site.
 
Clickstream data
As you browse the Internet, a trail of electronic information is left at each website you visit. This information, which is sometimes called “clickstream” data, can be collected and stored by a website’s server. Clickstream data can tell us the type of computer and browsing software you use, the address of the website from which you linked to the Web Site, and in some instances, your e-mail address. Legal disclosure; Circumstance of disclosure
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, MSI shall, pursuant to valid legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order, allow access to information, including personally identifiable information, provided to MSI, in order to comply with such process and to protect our rights and property. If warranted, we may also allow access to this information in special emergencies where physical safety is at risk. MSI reserves the right to disclose any information obtained from or about you, including but not limited to personally identifiable information, data obtained from internet protocol addresses, and clickstream data, to third parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of all or substantially all of MSI's assets.

Linked sites
This website or any marketing messages may contain links to other websites which are not within our control. Those websites may also reference or link to additional websites. MSI is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of websites beyond our own or for the privacy protection of any personal information you provide to those websites.

Children
The Web Site is not directed nor targeted to children. MSI will not knowingly collect information from children. Because our Web software does not automatically distinguish visitors who are children from other visitors. If MSI believes that a child has provided personally identifiable information without the knowledge or necessary consent, we will use reasonable efforts to confirm such consent, or we will remove such information from our files. 

User’s acceptance of this policy

We take security very seriously and in order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect about you, including policies on access to information and firewalls. However, due to the open communication nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and MSI, and between MSI and our partners and suppliers, will be free from unauthorized access by third parties. Use of U.S. website and international data processing
Any personal data you provide to us, or when you contact MSI's service specialists or technical support, may be processed in jurisdictions that provide a different level of protection of personal information than the jurisdiction where personal data is submitted from.
